The Hyundai i10 has a relatively short history in the Philippines.

It was initially brought in to fight the likes of the Kia Picanto, Toyota Wigo and Honda Brio. However, its time in the Philippine market was short-lived as no new generation arrived. 

In other markets, the i10 nameplate is still alive and well, as the Hyundai hatchback has recently received a minor update.

While the facelift doesn’t bring anything revolutionary to the vehicle's design, it does get a few tweaks to its styling, especially in the case of the N-line variant that offers design touches from the brand’s N performance division. 

Exterior

The regular version of the facelifted Hyundai i10 is available in nine colors, two of which are new to the vehicle and are called Lumen Grey and Meta Blue.

If you find that interesting, there is an option for a black roof paint job.

Aside from this, the hatchback also gets new graphics for its LED light signature for the front and rear. The i10 likewise sports a unique inner reflector for its headlamps and a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels.

Meanwhile, the sportier N-Line version of the vehicle has 16-inch wheels with a unique design. 

Interior

The 2024 Hyundai i10 retains a fairly standard cabin.

However, minor improvements are given, such as blue ambient lighting for the front seats and a new purple trim package. There are also tartan fabric seats with purple vertical lines.

The purple accents continue with the special package found on the stitching of the seats and for the air vents.

Technology

As standard, the South Korean hatchback comes with a 4.2-inch LCD gauge cluster and USB Type-C ports for the front and back of the vehicle.

It also has an 8-inch infotainment system found in the dashboard's center. In addition, the i10 has a navigation system, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and over-the-air software updates.

Safety

For safety features, the 2023 Hyundai i10 comes with forward collision avoidance assist with cyclist detection and a rear occupant alert reminding the driver if the rear doors have been left ajar. 

Power options for the i10 remain the same as it continues to use either a 1.0-liter or 1.2-liter inline-3 gasoline engine. These two motors put it in contention with the new Toyota Wigo.

The i10's specifications also make it a great addition to the Philippine market, if Hyundai Philippines chooses to bring the refreshed hatchback to the local market.
