As October comes to a close, you might be thinking whether or not it's the right time to buy a brand-new Toyota.

If you're not yet sure, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) may have a promo that could "make you smile."

The carmaker announced in an October 2022 press statement that its "More Shared Miles, More Shared Smiles" campaign is ongoing until Oct. 31, 2022.

Various payment schemes

TMP offers three payment options for new-car buyers:

• Pay Light – 50-percent downpayment, 60 months to pay

• Pay Low – All-in downpayment as low as 15 percent, 60 months to pay, includes free one-year insurance and three-year Land Transportation Office registration, no chattel mortgage fees

• Savings – Discounts for straight-cash purchases

For the Toyota Innova, the company said the base-model J diesel manual variant is PhP 12,787 a month with the Pay Light option or PhP 178,650 downpayment with the Pay Low option.

Those who buy the midrange Innova E automatic or manual variants in cash can also get up to PhP 20,000 in discounts.

Meanwhile, the Pay Light option helps you get the Vios XE CVT for only PhP 8,212 a month, while the Pay Low option means an all-in downpayment of only PhP 115,350.

A cash purchase also means up to PhP 45,000 in savings for the XLE CVT Vios.

Finally, the popular Raize crossover is available under the Pay Light option for PhP 10,110 a month for the G CVT variant.

And those who need seven seats can get a Veloz 1.5 G CVT for PhP 13,210 a month through the Pay Light option.

TMP said other promos are also available for the Rush, Corolla Altis, Wigo, Avanza, Hilux, Hiace and Fortuner.

Free comprehensive insurance

Customers who buy a new Vios, Wigo, Corolla Altis, Innova, Hilux, Avanza, Veloz, Rush or Fortuner can get one-year comprehensive insurance.

The Toyota Insure policy includes 24/7 personal accident insurance, passenger auto personal accident insurance, protection for damages caused by acts of nature and emergency roadside assistance, among others.

Get money back from your trade-in

If you own a Toyota now, you can get various trade-in rebates this month. 

TMP said Wigo owners can get a rebate of up to PhP 35,000 when they buy a Vios or Innova, while Vios owners who get a Raize G CVT can get up to PhP 30,000 back. Meanwhile, those upgrading from an Avanza to a Veloz can get a PhP 20,000 rebate.

TMP said the rebates can also be used to buy car accessories and can be used on top of existing promotions.

Free PMS for October

Finally, for the entire month of October, brand-new Vios, Altis, Raize, Avanza, Veloz, Rush, Innova, Fortuner, Hilux or Hiace models purchased from any authorized Toyota Dealer nationwide are entitled to a free periodic maintenance service (PMS).

And those who get a brand-new Toyota Lite Ace can get a fixed periodic maintenance package for up to 40,000 kilometers until the end of the month. TMP said owners will only need to pay PhP 1,999 a service until their 40,000-kilometer maintenance check.
