If you want to do something exciting this weekend, the 2022 Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup's final round will be on November 19, 2022, at Clark International Speedway.

“These race events will feature seasoned and celebrity racers along with influencers and members of the media who will either defend their places or snatch their way to the podium,” the company said.

Celebrities who will race in the Vios Cup this weekend include Daniel Matsunaga, Fabio Ide, and Troy Montero, along with members of the media.

Meanwhile, you can watch influencers like Benedict Cua, Patch Magtanong, Miguel Romulo, Bianca Yao, Dexi Diaz, Lexi Mendiola, Gino Quillamor, Jules Aquino, Carla Lizardo, Ashley Gosiengfiao, Arron Villaflor and Enzo Pineda go head-to-head.

TMP said spectators can watch the Vios Cup races for free onsite as long as they bring their vaccination cards. They can also watch the action live on TMP’s official Facebook page.

But those who visit Clark International Speedway can get official Gazoo Racing merchandise and accessories and see TMP’s Gazoo Racing lineup, which includes the GR Vios, GR Corolla Altis, GR Hilux, GR Fortuner, GR Yaris, GR86, and GR Supra.

Same car for all

All the drivers use the same Toyota Vios Cup Car, which is fully prepared by engineers of Toyota’s motorsport arm Gazoo Racing.

It is powered by a 1.5-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve inline-four gasoline engine and comes with a full roll cage, bucket seat, racing harness, and other gear to keep drivers safe in high-speed driving.

Wheel-to-wheel grid action

The series’ Circuit Championship has three classes with differing driver experience and race tuning levels– Promotional, Sporting, and Super Sporting.

During the starting leg of the season, Alain Alzona of Toyota Team General Santos brought home the trophy for the Promotional Class.

Meanwhile, celebrity racer Troy Montero of Toyota Gazoo Racing Team PH championed the Sporting Class, and Obengers Racing Team’s John Dizon finished at the top for the Super Sporting Class.

By the second leg, Jay Lao from the OTR Racing Team got all the glory in the Promotional Class.

Jiro Garbes from JB Racing took home the gold in the Sporting Class, while Bryan Co from R Racing Team got the top spot on the podium for the Super Sporting Class.

Head-to-head in autocross

The Autocross Challenge was equally exciting, with drivers racing two at a time in tight, technical courses laid out using cones.

In the first leg, Pablo Salapantan of YugaTech bagged the Media Promotional Class win, and Jam Lacuna of AutoIndustriya.com finished at the top for the Media Sporting Class.

Benedict Cua shone the brightest, ending at the top for the Influencers Promotional Class, while Gino Quillamor won the Influencers Sporting Class.

The first leg was made more exciting by sim-racing veteran Russel Reyes bringing home the win in the GR GT Cup Class.

As the season went into the second leg, Miguel Romulo stood at the top of the podium for the Influencer Promotional Class, while Jules Aquino was the champion for the Influencer Sporting Class.

Salapantan and Lacuna were also able to defend their first-place finishes in the Media Promotional Class and Media Sporting Class, respectively.

Finally, sim racing legend Luis Moreno bagged the top spot in the GR GT Cup Class for Leg 2.

Who are you cheering for in the final leg of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Vios Cup?
