The Suzuki Dzire is a front-wheel drive, subcompact sedan that comes in three variants, the entry-level Dzire GA 1.2 MT, the mid-spec Dzire GL 1.2 MT, and the top spec variant Dzire GL+ 1.2 AGS AT. Power comes from a 1.2-liter engine, generating 82 hp and 113 Nm of torque. This thrifty engine from Suzuki can be found on all three variants and mated to either a five-speed transmission (GL variant) or a five-speed Auto Gear Shift (AGS), also known as the automated manual transmission.
The Suzuki Dzire was initially launched together with the Swift in April of 2013 and was known back then as the Swift Dzire. Since then, Suzuki Philippines has opted to simply rename it as the Dzire. Now on its third generation, the Dzire has firmly established its presence in the local automotive market as a worthy candidate in its segment.
The Suzuki Dzire received a minor facelift in 2021, as it now boasts of a brand-new headlamp-taillight design, grille shape, and bumper. Suzuki Philippines also updated some of its features like the multi-color and multi-display gauges found on the dashboard. The interior of the Dzire continues to offer ample space for its occupants with a seven-inch infotainment system with navigation.
