These past few weeks, I have been given the opportunity to catch up with my college friends at BGC. Then when we were about to part ways and head home, I found out that one of my friends, Jovie, still drives that car she used when we were still in college. I was amazed at how long she managed to keep it working perfectly fine. It was a Ford Fiesta, by the way. I was surprised because I was already aware that the Ford Fiesta is no longer available in the Philippines. Though, I am not aware that time what was the reason behind its discontinuation. But what crossed my mind was that I think that Ford Fiesta is a good-performing car because Jovie is still using it now, which is astonishing.

Touch-down home, I scoured the internet to find out why Ford Fiesta is no longer available in the country. Then, I knew that Ford Fiesta was only selling some Ford Fiesta units left in showrooms in mid-April 2019. But then I try to recall in my memory if there was a time that Ford announced that they will stop selling the Fiesta in the Philippines. But I can't recall them doing that, and I proved myself right. I only knew about the discontinuation early this year, and no buzz about it was created. It only means that Ford Philippines stopped selling the model discreetly. But why?

According to some sources, aside from the fact that the Ford Festa is not making good sales in the country, Ford is changing its course. It has plans to get rid of sedans and other small-size vehicle models to shift its focus to pickup trucks and light commercial vehicles. This gives light to what we see in Ford this 2022; the company focuses on promoting its pickup truck models. If that is what they plan to do, some Ford lovers might get disappointed. However, they obviously excel in pickup trucks. So, let's see what the future will bring.
