Car competition in the SUV and crossover segments seems to be getting fiercer day by day. History

The Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. Introduced in 1996 as a replacement for the Ford Bronco, the Expedition was placed between the smaller Ford Explorer and the larger Ford Excursion, but since 2005 it has been Ford's biggest SUV. The current Expedition is based on the Ford F-150 pickup. Known internally at Ford as the UN93, 

the first generation Expedition was developed under the UN93 program from 1993 to 1996, headed by chief engineer Dale Claudepierre at a cost of $1.3 billion (US). Initial planning began in 1991 parallel to PN96 F-Series development, prior to the UN93 program fully being approved in 1993. 

Styling approval was completed in early 1993 (3-1/2 years ahead of 1996 production) under design chief Bob Aikins, with the UN93 design being frozen by September 1993, at 34 months prior to July 1996 production commencement. Ford launched the largest of its SUVs in the Manila International Auto Show 2018, which happened on April 6, 2019. The biggest change to the platform was an all-aluminum chassis that saved weight over its previous iteration.

The Ford Expedition price in the Philippines starts at P4,479,000.00. The lowest price is the Ford Expedition 4x4 Limited EL, ranging all the way up to the Ford Expedition 4x4 Limited EL with Bucket Seats priced at P4,612,000.00.

Exterior

The exterior is almost exactly the same as the previous model except for the lights. At the front, the headlights are now lined horizontally instead of vertically, sitting between two metal strips that dissect the grille from width to width. The C-shaped LED strip surrounding the lamp has been made a little wider and bolder, and has scratches on the edges. When you first see the Expedition, your eyes will immediately be drawn to the newly redesigned faade. 

The front fascia has a more aggressive look this year. In addition, the front grille has a new look and features a larger mesh design. The LED daytime running lights and LED headlights have also been redesigned to give it a bolder look. This expedition also has a long and wide body. Center console

The center console is a bit button-heavy. It's not immediately user-friendly, but it doesn't require too much time to master. It's a simpler layout than the Tahoe's too. Visibility out of the front is hampered by the massive windshield pillars. But even though the rear window looks to be a mile away, a clear backup camera and available 360-degree camera system take the edge off backing up.

Space&practicality

The Expedition can accommodate up to eight people in it, especially if you have shifted the second row with a slide function at the end that helps access to the third row, without moving the child seat. Then, the second and third rows can be folded flat with just one press of a button.
