Ford certainly wasn't kidding when it launched this Ford Raptor. Raptor's big name actually refers to his older brother, the Ford F-150, a full size pickup truck that has a length of almost 6 meters and a V6 engine. Ford Motor Corporation wants all media crews to believe in the greatness of this car. And it was proven, after passing a series of tests with heavy and even extreme obstacles, and believed in the greatness of this Ford Raptor. This proves that although it is based on the Ford Ranger, the Ford Raptor is not just an ordinary Ranger.

Since 1998 Ford has also sold other versions of the Ranger which are sold internationally. The Ford Raptor is a nameplate used by Ford Motor Company for its "high-performance" pickup trucks and SUVs. In use since the 2010 model year, the Raptor is designated as the highest-performance version of the F-150, Ranger and Bronco. This also introduced Ford's Biturbo 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission
