Images of the 2023 Honda City have leaked online, but this time these aren’t its digital renderings but of an actual unit. The facelifted Honda sedan is set to make its debut in India on March 23, 2023.

The photo set from Rushlane.com, taken by Kamal Yadav, reveals the same exterior changes showcased in its digital renderings.

The sedan now has a new honeycomb-style grille with a unique chrome accent connecting the two headlights. The images also reveal that the grille has been reangled towards the headlights for a boxier shape.

The bumpers of the sedan have also been revised, carrying an inverted air intake with a new design. Aside from this, the lower intakes for the front are revised and have taken on a new pattern. The foglight surrounds are also new for the facelifted City taking on similar styling cues to its bigger brother, the Honda Civic (Specs | News). 

The new version of the sedan also gets an updated design for its 16-inch alloy wheels. 

The new Honda City gets a new diffuser at the back with larger and more angular design cues. 

Inside the Honda sedan, its changes are minimal in terms of its layout. However, it does come with a beige interior, while other markets receive a black cabin.

New technology inside the updated City uses wireless charging, a new digital instrument cluster, and a sunroof option. 

The sedan's power options remain the same as it still comes with a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, with a 1.5-liter hybrid powerplant also available. The hybrid engine produces 109 PS and 253 Nm of torque. 

Furthermore, a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine is available for the Honda City in India, producing 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Before we forget, a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine is available for the sedan, pushing out 122PS and 173 Nm of torque. 

The facelifted Honda City retains its CVT and six-speed manual transmission for the gearbox options. Note that other countries only offer the Honda sedan with just the CVT. 

The current generation of the Honda City was launched in the Philippines in October 2020. It has been three years since its launch, and the nameplate is at the right age for a minor update. 

What we see with the Indian model could be the facelift for the local version of the City that should be coming soon with a possible hybrid variant in toe.
