Jetour Auto Philippines is ramping up its partnerships with banks to make its vehicles more accessible and financing friendly.
The automaker commemorated World Environment Day on June 5, 2023 at the Maybank Corporate Center in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City. Both brands are raising awareness of EVs to promote sustainability.
One of the key initiatives of this sustainability partnership is the promotion of the Jetour Ice Cream EV, with Maybank’s support in providing affordable options for EV ownership.
Easier to own
Maybank will offer you a low downpayment option of 15 percent or a monthly amortization as low as ₱7,339, making it easier for individuals to own a mini EV.
It's a unique proposition to prospective buyers, as most banks and automakers will offer a 15-percent downpayment at the lowest.
“We have always looked for partnerships that are aligned with our strategic thrusts and will be able to support our sustainability commitments to our customers and the community in general,” said Maybank Philippines president and CEO Abigail Tina Del Rosario.
“We found one in JETOUR, and in our own way, through this collaboration, we hope to be a significant contributor to efforts on saving the environment by acting decisively in lessening our carbon footprint and enabling our customers in their decarbonization journey,” she added.
A cleaner future
Jetour Auto Philippines managing director Miguelito Jose said he is grateful that the Chinese carmaker found a "like-minded partner" in Maybank.
“By working together on World Environment Day, we move forward to transitioning from internal combustion engine vehicles to hybrids, to a visionary path towards full-electric vehicles," he said.
"We can make it effortless for new car owners to embrace electric mobility,” he added.
Mini electric mobility
The Jetour Ice Cream is a mini EV with a cute design appeal, with its size and design making it ideal for commuting around the city, as it can fit almost anywhere.
Inside, it offers a simple interior with a digital display for your range and speed and an infotainment system that supports Bluetooth connectivity.
Powering the Jetour Ice Cream EV is a rear-mounted electric motor good for 27 PS and 85 Nm of torque. Depending on driving conditions, the 13.9-kWh battery pack can do up to 170 kilometers.
As for charging, the mini EV can be charged with any wall socket as it comes with a 220-volt charger. Charging time takes approximately eight hours, from zero to 100 percent.
It is priced at ₱699,000 and comes with an 8-year or 120,000-km battery warranty and a 3-year, 100,000-km warranty for the car itself.
With amortization this low, would you jump onto the electric bandwagon now?
