Fuel Consumption
As a top-selling compact sedan, the 2020 Toyota Vios has always been acclaimed for its fuel efficiency.
For the 1.3 L engine option mated to a CVT gearbox with 1 occupant and no cargo, the fuel consumption returned 10.2 km/L after an hour of crawling in heavy traffic, while 14.2 km/L for a drive at an average speed of 60 km/h, and 22.3 km/L when tested on highways.
The 1.5 L variants are slightly less fuel efficient than the 1.3 L ones, due to larger displacements and more power they produce, but the figures returned are still excellent. An hour of heavy traffic resulted in 8.1 km/L, 13.1 km/L for a 60 km/h drive, and 19.2 km/L on highways.
