The adjustable sports windscreen offers three positions with a total range of 60mm.

Kawasaki introduces new digital TFT color gauges, a first in the 650cc class, adding a high-tech and classy look to the cockpit while offering additional features not seen in previous models.

To meet BS-6 emissions regulations and enhance mid-range torque without compromising power, the intake and exhaust system components have undergone significant changes.

  • Handling

The new Ninja 650 weighs 191 kg, thanks to its completely redesigned chassis. The lightweight trellis frame and swingarm, developed using Kawasaki's advanced in-house analysis technology, contribute to its ultra-light and nimble handling.

Kawasaki's advanced traction control system improves sporty riding performance and provides confidence on low-traction surfaces in specific conditions. Two modes enable riders to adjust settings according to the situation and preference. Passengers can also choose to turn off the system. 35 kW kit models feature one mode (plus off) for KTRC.

Users have noted that the vehicle's weight can be a bit heavy and challenging to maneuver in tight spaces, even though it is relatively light for a sportbike. Handling may be difficult for riders not accustomed to larger motorcycles.

  • Ride Comfort

The Ninja 650 features high-strength steel frame components for strength and lightness, ensuring a stable and well-balanced ride at high speeds and through tight bends. Its suspension system comprises a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a horizontal rear link at the rear, delivering precise and quick response in rough trail conditions and preventing bottoming out.

Kawasaki's innovative Thermal Management System includes a new radiator fan cover that directs hot air away from the rider, greatly improving comfort in heavy traffic. This airflow redirection also keeps the fuel tank, frame, and other components cooler, enhancing overall rider comfort.

The built-in Bluetooth technology allows wireless connection to the motorcycle's dash. Through the "RIDEOLOGY THE APP" smartphone app, riders can access various instrument functions to enhance their motorcycle experience.

Users praised the Ninja 650's comfortable upright riding position, ideal for long rides. However, some suggested improving the base model's windproof performance, as the small windshield might not suffice for highway or windy conditions.

  • Engine & Fuel Consumption

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 is powered by a 649cc BS6 engine with a power of 67.3 horsepower and a torque of 64 Nm.

The build quality requires attention, as at 4-5000 RPM, the engine can produce a noticeable hum, and the top panel near the gas tank tends to rattle slightly. This is less than ideal for a ₱433,500 bike.

The Kawasaki Ninja 650 boasts a 15L fuel tank, designed to be slim and compact for a sleek and aggressive look. With an average fuel consumption rate of 30 km/l, riders can expect excellent mileage.

  • Braking & Safety

The Ninja 650 boasts dual 300mm front petal disc brakes and a single 220mm petal disc brake at the rear, featuring 2-piston calipers at the front and single-piston calipers at the rear. The petal disc design enhances heat dissipation, ensuring reliable braking during daily commutes and long rides. With larger surface areas for heat dissipation, these disks prevent overheating during prolonged use, ensuring consistent braking power.

    BRAKES & SUSPENSION

FRONT / WHEEL TRAVEL ø41 mm telescopic fork / 125 mm
REAR / WHEEL TRAVEL Horizontal Back-link with adjustable preload / 130 mm
BRAKE - FRONT Dual semi-floating ø300 mm petal discs
