Parallel-twin but feels like a V-twin

Powered by a newly-developed 776cc parallel-twin DOHC engine which delivers a superb balance of smooth, controllable torque-rich power from low RPM and freely revs up to its peak power output. The 270-degree crankshaft configuration gives a familiar V-twin experience similar to the SV650. It produces 62 kW and 78 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Yet, newbies need not worry because the GSX-8S comes with a low RPM assist function to help you avoid the embarrassment of stalling the engine in slow-moving traffic.

Made for the city rider

The chassis was carefully engineered to be slim, compact, lightweight, highly agile, and ideally suited to support its high-performance parallel twin engine. The core structure of the chassis layout starts with a strong and highly rigid frame designed for the GSX-8S.

Its exposed seat rails provide solid support with a lightweight aluminum swingarm, designed exclusively for the GSX-8S, optimized to perform on the street with low seat height suitable for most riders.

Plenty of electronic nannies

The advanced electronic systems of the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) featured on the GSX-8S assist and help you optimize performance characteristics to match your changing riding needs and preferences. This enables the rider to select from 3 riding modes and 4 levels of traction control.

You also get a bi-directional quick shift, so you don’t have to bother with the clutch when upshifting or downshifting. Of course, ABS comes as standard.

The GSX-8S is available in three colors – Pearl Cosmic Blue, Pearl Tech White, and Metallic Matte Black and at an SRP of ₱585,000.
