Access Plus Racing riders TJ Alberto and Lawrence Macalinao ended the 2023 PSBK season on a high note!

The 2023 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) has truly been a rollercoaster ride for Access Plus Racing.

Coming off a mixed weekend at the Batangas Racing Circuit, the team knew that it had some work to do ahead of the final round of the year.

The title fight came down to the wire at the Clark International Speedway, where they held onto a slim three-point advantage ahead of the race weekend.

They spent weeks in testing to squeeze every bit of performance out of their Ducati Panigale V4 R and V4 S in preparation for the title showdown. The team also entered a 3rd bike, with Troy Alberto joining in the thick of the action.

But after the dust had settled, Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto was able to claim his third consecutive Rider of the Year championship, while teammate Lawrence Macalinao was crowned Expert Class champion, capping off a successful season for the team.

"After TJ's lowside in the first race, we knew that it would be difficult to recover," said Access Plus Racing team principal Toti Alberto.

"All his title rival had to do was to finish 3rd, but he decided to chase down Troy and race with TJ," he added. "Even if TJ was already ahead making a pass, he still turned into TJ and ended up crashing to hand the championship back."

Alberto congratulated Alberto and Macalinao for their hard-earned titles, along with praising Troy Alberto for an enjoyable race on home soil.

Congratulations to the team. All the best in the 2024 season!
