Here is what it will cost you to maintain a Honda BR-V

The Honda BR-V is the Japanese brand’s answer to the affordable seven-seater SUV segment in the Philippines.

It brings the latest design language from Honda, giving the vehicle a bold new exciting SUV look. The Honda BR-V has a broader front fascia with LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a new grille.

On the inside, the Honda BR-V has a cabin layout similar to its Honda City sibling, with a minimalist look and a floating dashboard design. It also has a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

The VX model also gets Honda Sensing technology which gives it features such as adaptive cruise control, auto high beam, collision mitigation braking system; lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, and lane departure warning.

If you are planning to keep your vehicle for only three years, you can expect to pay around ₱44,398 for its maintenance costs. If you plan to keep it for five years, you can expect to pay ₱88,044. If you plan to keep the BR-V for the entirety of its model life (10 years), then you can expect to pay ₱181,069.

Manual 3, 5, and 10-year maintenance costs

If you choose to get the manual variant of the BR-V, you could expect to pay ₱42,937 for the first three years of ownership. If you keep the seven-seater for five years, expect to pay ₱72,275 for maintenance. If you plan to keep the vehicle for ten years, you can expect to pay ₱155,131 in total for maintenance costs.

Something to note is that a typical service (oil change and basic maintenance) will cost you around ₱5,437, which is applicable for both the manual and CVT versions. The price can go higher if you add other things to the essential oil change. Aside from this, in the long run, the manual transmission version of the Honda BR-V is the cheaper vehicle to maintain.
