2022 Toyota Rush Short Review: The Real Cost of Maintaining a Vios

Being a responsible car owner does not only mean driving safely but as well as maintaining a vehicle that is safe to be on the road. Vehicle breakdowns and probably collisions can be avoided if you have a well-maintained vehicle that is road worthy. It is also a practical thing to have a vehicle that is reliable that can go anywhere on a moment's notice. That is why adhering to a preventive maintenance schedule or PMS is very important. The recommendation is to go to your car dealership and have your PMS there, but others look for alternatives as the casa price can be a little too steep on your budget. Wherever you choose to go, just make sure that the car is well maintained and looked after, so it is good to go to a place constantly than jumping from place to place. That's why the casa is preferred as they know what they're doing and the quality of work is superb; if it is below what you expect, it is easy to have it re-done (easier than arguing to a tired mekaniko). Think of the little extra cash you pay as the price of peace of mind.

So, when it comes to maintaining a Toyota Rush, how much money do you have to cough up to be able to do this? We have previously covered this topic before bit it is noteworthy to say this again. It really depends on your dealership and your sales agent – some may say there are free PMS packages and discounts while some may say there is none. Regardless, here is what Toyota has in their website (up to 20,000 kilometers):

1000 km

PhP 2829.79

5000 km

PhP 2829.79

10000 km

PhP 3837.79

15000 km

PhP 2829.79

20000 km

PhP 3686.59

Now, hold your horses, as these prices are the rough estimate, meaning these are the service costs and they exclude the miscellaneous fees. Miscellaneous fees cover anything from the oil to be used, rags, PPEs (we are still operating during the pandemic), to the oil filter, and all the add-ons that you can kindly tell your service supervisor to remove from the list of you want to, like the Bac-to-Zero treatment, engine treatment, engine detailing, et cetera.

To sum up, is the Toyota Rush easy to maintain: the verdict points to YES. Well, think of it this way, before buying the vehicle, you should also be able to maintain it; the more expensive the vehicle is, the bigger the cost of maintenance. It's that logical. So, make sure you have the money to spend on these very important things. Again, the extra money you pay is the price of peace of mind and it's better to be on the talyer for PMS than a busted transmission or overheated engine. Think about it!
