Does A Honda Civic Require A Lot Of Maintenance Cost?

Car maintenance is probably one of the things we dread. We think long hours in the casa or talyer. We think standing up to watch the mechanics do their thing or simply lay back and wait to be surprised as to what your car is ailing from. The rule of thumb is, always get preventive maintenance, as this would help you rule out things that may fail and leave you stranded on the road. As usual, this is also something we dread – the long queues and waiting, but of course we are not pilots nor race car drivers who have the main job of just driving.

Honda offers a solution, especially for their new Honda Civic. A car that is wonderful to drive daily or even on long trips, the Honda Civic will simply rack up the miles… or kilometers (we are in the Philippines) and easily, you’d have to go to the casa again in no time. With Honda’s testament to build things right and strong at the very beginning, there are few reasons to go to the casa with a strong-built car. The Honda Civic also is required to go to the casa or dealership for preventive maintenance only twice a year – only per 10,000 kilometers on your odometer or every six months, whichever comes first.

Less visit means less cost, means less time on the dealership and more time on the road!

As for the monetary equivalent on this, if you’re still looking for a standard figure and the logic I presented is not enough for you, then Honda says about PhP 11,052.00 on the first year (there is a table that Honda has in its website). All in all, savings to the sum of PhP 134,500!

To end, I say what I always do, the true value of car maintenance is peace of mind, and the true cost of safe driving is a well-maintained car. Drive safely!
