Mitsubishi Xpander Powertrain System Review - It's Good, But How Well-performing is it?

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines considers the Xpander’s birth a huge success after its rapid popularity in the Philippine automotive market, making it a best-selling MUV model since 2018. The Xpander is available in four variants priced from Php1.008 million up to Php1.138 million in the country.

Because of its instant popularity, Xpander became more in demand for car reviews and test driving. The 2022 version has received numerous nods for its updated exterior appearance and better performance than its previous version.

According to user reviews, the reason they chose Xpander over its competitors is its value for money. This includes – the size of the car, its innovative technology, safety features, overall aesthetic style, and its engine and transmission capabilities.

This year’s Xpander promises a more powerful powertrain system. Under its hood is a 1.5-L 4-cylinder MIVEC engine available in a 4-speed automatic transmission and manual transmission. This Mitsubishi model runs in a gasoline engine with a 1499 cc engine displacement. With its engine, it can reach a maximum power of 105 brake hp or 77 kilowatts at 6000 rpm.

The Mitsubishi Xpander is a perfect family car in terms of interior size. But in terms of power, this MUV model is not as powerful as its competitors, but it can properly perform well for its seven passengers. The pull may not be as strong as its competitors of the same class, but it is a decent-performing car for an affordable price. Overall, the Xpander is a great family car choice for its innovative exterior design, generous seating, massive storage space, reliable safety features, and well-developed powertrain performance.
