Priced at ₱649,000, the new AK 550 Premium takes the “Thrills of Touring” concept to the next level with its unique suspension structure, the innovative multi-layered floating panel design, the upgraded Daytime Running Light, and the latest electronic control technology.

Looks the part and plays the part

Inspired by piano keys, the new AK 550’s premium center console features function keys that are classic, user-friendly, and intuitive. These physical keys allow riders to control the most frequently used operations such as fuel tank cap release, seat cushion opening, mileage display, and handlebar locks.

After the unveiling, KYMCO Philippines General Manager for Sales and Marketing Mr. Tito Cadugo pulled me aside and asked “What do you think about the ₱ 80,000 price bump?” My answer, amidst the loud music blasting from all sides, was a resounding, “Yes!”

You get new awesome features on the AK 550 Premium such as an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire) and cruise control.

To help tame the twin-cylinder beast of an engine, the AK 550 Premium is equipped with cornering ABS and a Traction Control System which prevents wheelspin on wet roads and uneven surfaces. Welcome additions, considering you have 39.9 kW and 55.6 Nm on tap.
