Nissan Almera 2022 Power Test: Beat the Honda City and Toyota Vios with 100PS Power Output?

Plenty of desirable traits is to be found in the Nissan Almera over the past years. And for this year’s version, it is expected to change for an update better than last year’s, obviously. The exterior and the interior of the new version got a sharper and more sophisticated-looking update.

Over the looks, functionality comes first, right? The Nissan Almera has a pretty decent engine and transmission track record over the years. Its power gives its users confidence on the road. And its sophisticated engine offers a smooth ride.

For the 2022 Almera entry, Nissan promises impressive efficiency. It comes with a lighter 1.0-L Turbo engine that responds with a smoother pull-away and better acceleration. The Almera delivers a maximum of 100PS power output and 160 Nm of torque for its 5-speed manual transmission with fuel consumption of approximately 23.5 kilometers per liter. As for its automatic transmission, it is expectedly to deliver a maximum of 152 Nm of torque.

With its improved engine and transmission properties, it is ideal not only for city drives but for steep roads and highway driving too. The 1.0-L Turbo engine of the Almera gives a decent fuel efficiency.

The Nissan Almera is one of the most popular sedan models in the Philippines along with its competitors - Honda City and Toyota Vios. Placing the Almera on top has not been possible for car reviewers for the past years. However, Nissan has gained decent popularity because of the model. For its overall performance, the Almera has been rated a seven out of ten by car enthusiasts and testers.
