Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD recently opened its flagship showroom in Quezon City.

BYD Quezon Avenue was officially inaugurated on Aug. 24, 2023 and is located at 718 Quezon Avenue corner G. Araneta Street, Quezon City. It is the first dealership to open under the administration of AC Motors, which is the automotive arm of the Ayala Corporation.

AutoFun Philippines was the first to report AC Motors’ takeover of the BYD Philippines distributorship through its subsidiary Mobility Access Philippines Ventures, Inc. (MAPVI).

Former distributor Solar Transport and Automotive Resources Corp. now serves as a brand dealer and the manager of BYD Quezon Avenue.

The 4,000-square-meter facility has an expansive showroom that can showcase BYD’s pure EV line-up, including the BYD Dolphin, BYD Han and BYD Tang. It is the brand’s largest dealership to date.

BYD Quezon Avenue also features an elevated customer lounge experience and a dedicated new-car release area, along with a pair of charging stations located in the service driveway.

The dealership “embodies a look and feel meant to communicate sustainable transport through a mix of green and contemporary design,” said BYD Philippines in a press statement.

BYD Philippines and BYD Singapore general manager James Ng said the BYD Quezon Avenue represents a “brand-new starting point.”

"The opening of BYD's first flagship store in the Philippines not only illustrates the importance BYD attaches to the Philippine market, but also is an important step for BYD to deepen its localization in the Philippines, as BYD joins hands with its partners to practice the goal of low-carbon and green life with practical actions,” he said.

BYD Philippines said the Quezon Avenue dealership, along with Solar Transport’s original BYD Makati, will form part of 12 BYD dealers that will be put up around the country over the next 12 months.

“BYD’s presence in the country was already formidable,” said MAPVI president Toti Zara.

“Thus, we look forward to scaling even bigger heights and bringing the brand closer to even more Filipinos,” he added. ”Building your dreams has never been more attainable, and exciting.”

“The company’s trained mechanics are dedicated to providing reliable customer service, and with the aggressive global expansion efforts and government-backed incentives taking place, BYD owners in the Philippines can expect peace of mind, reliable specialists, and a seamless ownership experience,” he said.
