Tetsuya Fujita named new Isuzu Philippines president

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) kicked off 2023 with a bittersweet farewell and a joyful hello.

The Japanese carmaker said goodbye to its president Noboru Murakami, who industry veteran Tetsuya Fujita officially succeeded at a January 2023 turnover ceremony.

IPC said Murakami expressed his gratitude for the support he received during his term and announced his confidence that “Fujita’s leadership skills will further drive the company into new heights.”

Fujita has extensive experience in sales and operations, having worked for Isuzu Motors Limited since 1991. His international assignments include:

  • Corporate Planning Manager of Isuzu Commercial Truck of America in California from 2005 to 2010

  • General Manager for Sales Department in Isuzu Motors International Operations Thailand in Bangkok from 2014 to 2017

  • Chairman & CEO of Isuzu Motors de Mexico from 2020 to 2021

IPC said Fujita plans to continue the firm’s market-leading strategy by expanding and improving the dealer network, as well as maintaining IPC’s strong relationship with customers by “providing significant contributions to their business.”

The carmaker added that Fujita will continue the “Road to Progress” initiative that started during Murakami’s term. This aims to steer the company towards a “more sustainable and greener path.”

“As the leading truck brand in the industry, we will continue innovating new products that will assist in the progress of the country while displaying more responsibility to the society and the environment through our Road to Progress vision,” Fujita said.

What else do you think Fujita-san should develop during his term as IPC president?
