BLACKPINK's Jennie gets dream car -- a Porsche Taycan

When you're a global superstar like BLACKPINK's Jennie, you can have pretty much anything you want.

And when the Korean singer and rapper wanted her dream car, Porsche was glad to oblige by helping her create her Taycan 4S Cross Turismo.

Called the "Taycan 4S Cross Turismo for Jennie Ruby Jane," the all-electric supersedan was made with the help of the German carmaker's Sonderwunsch customization program. 

The company said in a press statement that members of the Sonderwunsch team at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and the Style Porsche design department worked together for hours with the South Korean artist to work out all the details of the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo. 

"As an artist, Jennie is used to creative collaborations," said Sonderwunsch project manager Grant Larson. "She even brought a mood board to our meeting that visualized the initial ideas and reflected their reception"

Jennie called the collaboration an "amazing experience."

"I'm especially proud of having designed the visualization of the clouds," she said. "I spend a lot of time traveling around the world – the sky and the clouds are my traveling companions and a beautiful symbol of these unique experiences. This is why I feel a special connection to them and am so passionate about photographing these nature motifs."

Eye-popping wheels

Even though it is a fully customized Porsche, Jennie decided to stick with an understated metallic black paint job.

But what really makes her Taycan stand out is the 21-inch Exclusive Design wheels painted in Meissenblue. In addition, the "Electric" lettering on the driver's door, the model name on the rear, and the cloud logos on the B-pillars are all in this special blue from Porsche's "Paint to Sample" program. 

Meanwhile, the front door entry guards carry illuminated "Jennie Ruby Jane" lettering, with her nickname "NiNi" to be seen in the rear doors. In accordance with Jennie's wishes, the Porsche typography of the current 911 generation (Type 992) was used. 

Finally, the logo projector in the front doors projects clouds onto the ground beside the car.

Inspired by clouds

Stepping inside Jennie's Taycan, the attractive combination of Black, Crayon and Meissenblue creates an elegant ambience. 

Only the seats and the top part of the dashboard are in Crayon while Meissenblue accents the door panel trim, the borders of the air vents, the cup holders and the top-center marking of the steering wheel rim. 

The headrests include clouds designed by Jennie. A special indoor car cover was also created with this personal touch.

For those who aren't Blinks, Jennie (also known as Jennie Kim or Jennie Ruby Jane) debuted in August 2016 as a member of YG Entertainment's girl group BLACKPINK. 

Starting with 'Whistle' and 'Boombaya', BLACKPINK achieved a major hit with each song they released, becoming Korea's representative girl group. BLACKPINK recently released their second full-length album 'BORN PINK.'

In addition, Jennie released her first solo single 'SOLO' in 2018. 

Jennie has a wide global influence, with 70.35 million followers on Instagram as of September 2022. She is also active as a brand ambassador for various famous fashion, beauty, food and living brands.
