The Hyundai IONIQ 5 Steals the Show at PIMS, Price said to be from Php 3.1 to 3.6 Million

2022 World Car of the Year winner, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 is now in the Philippines. A preview of the highly anticipated EV is on display at the 8th PIMS at World Trade Center, Pasay City. And Hyundai Motor Philippines is hinting at a price range of between Php 3.1 to 3.6 million pesos depending on the range.

Now operating under new management, Hyundai Motors Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has officially joined the prestigious Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).

Along with it marks Hyundai's debut in the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) with the much-anticipated preview of its first purely electric car. The retro-modern crossover utility vehicle (CUV) is scheduled to arrive in the country in January 2023.

Packed with a 72.6 kWh Lithium-ion battery, the Long Range version of the 2023 Hyundai IONIQ5 can do an estimated 451 km from a full charge. A 58.0 kWh variant will also be made available, according to HMP. Final prices should come as the model starts selling in early next year.

"Our vision is 'Progress for Humanity' because we are dedicated to understanding what people want in life. For us it's not about going from A to B, it's about creating time for the moments that truly matter. This is what we hope for our Filipino customers to experience when they own a Hyundai," said Mr. Dongwook Lee, President, who led HMPH's opening day program. "We are excited to hit the ground running and give Filipinos access to our award-winning smart technologies, advanced safety and driver-assist systems and of course our new 'sensuous sportiness' design philosophy in our range of passenger cars."

Another Hyundai highlight is the official launch of the FIFA World Cup™ Qatar 2022 Test Drive Promo, featuring the New Hyundai Creta. Driven by Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) and extended to its global markets, the contest is the result of its Goal of the Century (GOTC) pledge, taking inspiration from how the sport of football becomes a catalyst that ignites team spirit and togetherness among its players and fans. According to Mr. Lee, "We are committed to expanding our role beyond the transportation sector. As the 3rd largest car manufacturer globally, we wish to become a mobility solution provider who will take the lead in creating a sustainable future for generations to come through 'Goal of the Century', our call towards a climate-positive tomorrow." Hyundai Motors Philippines will also be offering an exclusive P10,000 discount that can be availed on top of the P98,000 all-in low down payment for the New Hyundai Creta at PIMS until Sunday, September 18

Full mechanics, terms, and conditions are found at this link. By test driving the New Creta, Filipinos not only get to contribute to global sustainability but also have the opportunity to fly to Qatar in the latter part of the year to watch a match at the FIFA World Cup™.
