Isuzu Philippines set to reveal updated Isuzu D-MAX LS-E in April 2023

Isuzu Philippines recently revealed the updated Isuzu Mu-X, which came with a few exterior updates and a new color option for the seven-seater SUV.

The Japanese automaker has announced that it will bring the updated 2023 Isuzu D-MAX to the country on April 2023.

The reveal date comes after the Japanese automaker sent us an invite for the public launch of its updated pickup truck on April 21, 2023. However, reports have stated that the updates will only be done to the top-spec LS-E version of the Isuzu D-MAX.

A sportier look

Official changes have yet to be unveiled, but we can look to Thailand for what to expect from the updated pickup truck.

The updated Isuzu D-MAX will come with a new “Double Dimension” in a two-tone black and gray color scheme, giving it a sportier look. Aside from this, it also receives a new, two-tone-finished front bumper that is painted in the same color as the grill.

The 2023 Isuzu D-MAX has also been updated with a sharper set of matte-black, 18-inch alloy wheels.

While not confirmed, Isuzu Philippines may bring a new shade for its famous pickup truck, Islay Gray Opaque.

Minor interior changes

On the inside, the 2023 Isuzu D-MAX receives more subtle changes.

It may now come with two-tone black and brown leather upholstery for the steering wheel, leather seats, dashboard accents and door card trim pieces.

The pickup truck may even come with a new CoolMax feature, which serves as the pick-up’s ventilated seat function.

Same engine options

Under the hood, the 2023 Isuzu D-MAX will have the same engine options.

The updated LS-E model will still carry a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that produces 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Like before, a 6-speed automatic transmission will be the only gearbox available.

Will it come with a rear locking differential?

When Isuzu Philippines launched the D-MAX, they removed one feature available in the previous model.

The Japanese automaker did not include the rear locking differential, available at launch for other countries. The brand cited that customers in the Philippines didn’t need the feature.

For the 2023 update, they could bring it back, but nothing is set in stone.
