Honda Civic-fighting 2023 MG GT now at all 42 dealerships, starts at ₱ 1,015,888

The Covenant Car Company, Inc. - MG Philippines officially announces the availability of the MG GT at all its 42 dealerships nationwide.  The New 2023 MG GT Sport Sedan is available in two variants with the following Suggested Retail Prices:

  •  MG GT Alpha: ₱ 1,015,888
  •  MG GT Sport: ₱ 1,193,888

The Alpha comes with a naturally aspirated motor, while the Sport is mounted with a turbocharged engine. The 2023 MG GT is pitted against the likes of the Honda Civic (Specs | News) and the Mazda3.

Sporty exterior

The MG GT features the brand’s latest design language, with smooth and sleek lines seen all throughout the vehicle. At the front, it has a 3D Digital Flaming Grille bordered by full LED headlights and daytime running lamps.

At the rear, the sporty sedan comes with bright, highly-visible 3D LED Racetrack Taillamps and a ducktail accent on the truck, which adds a premium touch to the vehicle. Aside from this, it also gets a split tailpipe to give the car an energetic finishing note.

Premium interior

The inside of the MG GT provides a treat for drivers and passengers. Drivers of the sedan can get into their ideal driving position quickly thanks to a power-adjustable Zero-Gravity Sports Seat with lumbar support.

The sedan also features an ergonomic and fighter jet-inspired cockpit with a 12.3-inch full virtual gauge cluster. It also has a push-start system with a 10-inch floating HD touchscreen. The infotainment system also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ready.

A 360-degree camera and reverse camera are also present in the sedan.

Competitive power

Under the hood, the MG GT is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder 16-valve gasoline engine that produces 161 PS and 250 Nm of torque, which can rocket the sedan from zero to 100kph in just 8.5 seconds. Power is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed Twin-clutch Sportronic Transmission (TST), which is a fancy way to say Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), and it comes with paddle shifters.

Modern Safety and convenience

Aside from being sporty, the MG GT also comes well-equipped with safety features. The sports sedan has a high-density steel cage body with advanced laser brazing, ensuring a rigid and robust chassis and body frame.

It also has a plethora of safety features which include Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Intelligent High Beam Control (IHC), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).\

MG service guaranteed

The MG GT has a 5-year or 100,000km warranty, whichever comes first. It is also part of MG Hero Services, which provides 24/7 roadside support through the MG Philippines hotline (+632-8459-4787). MG owners can also download the My MG mobile app, which allows them to easily schedule vehicle service appointments from the convenience of their smartphones. The app can also be used to book a visit from a Mobile Garage caravan that provides MG owners vehicle home service for major technical issues.

Does the MG GT make you think twice about crossovers and SUVs?
