It's a double win! Hyundai Motor Corp celebrates championships at the 2022 WTCR

Hyundai Motor Company is hosting a special exhibition at its headquarters through February 10, 2023, in Seoul, South Korea, to celebrate its double victories in the Driver’s and Team championships of the World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) 2022.

This two-week exhibition celebrates Mikel Azcona’s victory in the 2022 WTRC Driver’s
Championship with the Elantra N TCR and the BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse team’s victory in
the Team Championship, thanks to the remarkable performances of Azcona and Norbert Michelisz.

As part of the exhibition, the 2022 WTCR-winning Elantra N TCR racecar will be displayed along with its mass-production model. The vehicles are showcased in the exhibition hall with WTCR champion trophies.

A commemorative display celebrating Hyundai Motorsport’s ten years of achievements and history is also present along with its N Collection products.

The brand’s employees also get to celebrate the occasion as Racing games will be present for them to try out that utilize the N Simulator. Top performers from this event will receive N Collection products, and the top five performers can compete for the top honor on the last day of the exhibition.

Promoting the N brand

To further prompt its N brand, the South Korean automaker is hosting a fan meeting with WTCR
2022 season champion driver Azcona and previous WTCR champions, including Michelisz (2019 Champion), Gabriele Tarquini (2018 Champion), Andrea Cisotti (Hyundai Motorsport GmbH Customer Racing Manager), and Gabriele Rizzo (BRC Team Manager).

At this meet-up, fans can ask the drivers and team managers questions to get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens during their respective events.

During this meeting, Hyundai Motor will also showcase its achievements in motorsports in 2022 and its plan for racing in 2023.

“We want these events to spark passion and share the winning sprit and pride of Hyundai Motorsport’s activities and the N brand. Hyundai Motor Company will continue to compete in global motorsport with the high-performance DNA of the N brand,” said Till Wartenberg, Vice President of N Brand Management and Motorsport sub-division at Hyundai Motor Company.
