Top 5 4K resolution dashcams you can buy in the Philippines

Having a dashcam in your vehicle is like having another layer of protection.

While it can’t prevent physical damage from happening to your vehicle, it does provide you with a video record of what happened to your car in the event of a road crash or incident.

With that in mind, we have created a top five list of the most affordable 4K resolution dashcams you can buy.

4K was our choice as it lets you see details more clearly, including zooming in on parts of a video without sacrificing quality. This can be helpful, especially if you're searching for a plate number.

As part of this criteria, we also made sure that these dashcams are available online. Do note that the prices of these cameras may change over time, but you can use these as a general guide.

In no particular order, here we go.

DDPAI Z50 (₱6,199 to ₱7,399)

First on the list is the DDPAI Z50 dual dash camera with a 3-inch display screen.

It provides a 140-degree point-of-view (POV) for its front 8-megapixel (MP) camera and offers 4K resolution at 25 frames per second (FPS).

Its rear camera, on the other hand, offers you a 1080P video resolution at 30FPS with a 125-degree POV. It also has a Sony IMX415 for clearer videos with a 7-layer lens.

The dashcam also has a phone application to transfer videos to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. It also has a parking surveillance mode and GPS to help tag the location of your videos.

Check for bundle deals online, as this camera does not have built-in memory. It can also only handle up to 128 GB micro SD cards.

Note that there is a front-camera-only option when buying the DPPAI Z50, which can save you money if you don’t want the rear camera.

70mai A800S (₱7,594 to ₱8,794)

Another option for you to choose from is the 70mai A800s.

It offers the same specifications as the DDPAI Z50, but with a bigger maximum storage capacity. This dashcam can handle up to 256GB worth of memory.

Like the DDPAI, the 70mai also has a 3-inch display with physical buttons.

It also has a super night vision mode that can give you clear videos even in low-light conditions. It uses its 3D DNR technology with its F/1.8 aperture lens and an intelligent algorithm.

If you want an excellent dashcam in light and dark conditions, then the 70mai is the one to get.

QCY K36 (₱4,050 to ₱4,799)

The QCY K36 is another great 4k dashcam option if you want something a little more affordable.

It comes with the same features as the other dashcams on the list, but gets a 6-layer camera lens and a 3-inch touchscreen display. It also has a broader field of view as its lens captures video at a 170-degree POV.

The QCY K36 also supports night vision, motion detection and app control. Make sure to buy a micro SD card, as this device does not have built-in memory.

It can also be bought as a bundle with a rear camera, which records in 1080P and at 30 FPS. The dashcam can also transfer videos to your phone via Wi-Fi.

Lenovo HR06F PRO (₱3,699)

Another affordable 4K dashcam is the Lenovo HR06F Pro.

It has a 6-layer lens and a 135-degree POV separating it from the other cameras mentioned above. Like the rest, it has night vision, Wi-Fi connectivity, a mobile application and a photo mode.

It also has a 3-inch high-definition touchscreen for better ease of use.

Its slim construction makes it an ideal dashcam if you want something discrete. Make sure that you buy a micro SD card for this device, as it does not have built-in memory.

Lenovo HR17 (₱3,989)

This final dashcam is different from the rest on the list as you place this device on top of your rearview mirror.

The Lenovo HR17 shoots in a 170-degree POV, giving your videos a more comprehensive view of the road. It also has a rear camera that lets you display the feed on its 10-inch display.

The display also lets you see what the cameras are capturing at all times. It can be adjusted to show a much smaller video if you want to use the camera as a regular rearview mirror.

Just like the rest, no memory card is included in the box. You will need to purchase an SD card for this dashcam to work.

Make sure to keep your eye out for bundle deals as some may include a memory card with the device, but at a slightly higher price.
