Can 2022 Nissan Navara Perform Well in Fuel Efficiency?

If there is something that keeps on soaring, it is the price of fuel. That is why we keep an eye on daily fuel price updates and consider alternatives, whether going on a public commute or switching to a more fuel-efficient car. The global oil crisis is suffering us this year but we still deserve to have fun sometimes – and adventurous people often feel that whenever they are on an off-road trip. That is why off-road vehicles like high-performance SUVs and pickup trucks have been in-demand these past few years. Whether you cruise on- or off-road - vehicles like these will not put your adventure hopes in vain.

Nissan Navara

Pickup truck Nissan Navara is one of the most well-performing off-road pickup trucks in the local market today. It has a power that can handle arduous terrain and tough out-of-the-city adventure. It carries a 2.5-liter YD25 DDTi engine that makes 161 horsepower and 403 Nm of torque output for the manual variants, while 187 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque on the automatic variants. It is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Its engine is fueled by diesel, which we believed in the past years to be a cheaper choice than gasoline-powered vehicles – but not anymore.

Before, diesel fuel is much cheaper than gasoline fuel, but today as we experience a global oil crisis, the price o diesel is as pricey as gasoline, and sometimes even pricier. But if you’re up for an adventure with the Nissan Navara, take its fuel consumption sum into consideration. Upon test driving the Navara, its entry-level Nissan Navara EL Manual Transmission can run around seven 8.5 kilometers per liter inside the city and 21 kilometers per liter on a highway drive. On the other hand, its top-of-the-line Nissan Navara PRO-4X 4x4 Automatic Transmission variant returns 7.2 kilometers per liter inside the city and 19 kilometers per liter on a highway drive.

There is a noticeable gap between the two variants as the top-of-the-line comes with a more powerful and capable 4x4 system. Nevertheless, this will be a reference if you’re up for an adventure outside the city.
