2022 Isuzu mu-X Fuel Economy: What is the real fuel consumption figure?

Before, choosing a vehicle involves approving the aesthetic beauty, seeking which among all possesses your necessary performance output, and making sure that it comes with several safety features to keep you and your family safe in all your travels. But, not anymore, as fuel consumption plays a vital role in settling with a vehicle for several years because of the continuously fluctuating fuel prices these days. As we hardly see the fuel prices to make halt spiking soon, a fuel-efficient car is indeed the icing on top of the cupcake for all of us.

The 2022 Isuzu mu-X is one of the most sought-after SUVs available in the Philippine automobile market today because of its remarkable features and capabilities. But, is it also capable of minimizing your fuel expenses? While there are different factors affecting fuel consumption, like road and traffic conditions, driving style, dimensions of the vehicle, curb weight, additional load weight, and powertrain system, it is always recommended to try every vehicle yourself to see if it suits you or not.

It is powered by either a 1.9-liter or 3.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 167 hp and 450-Newton meters of torque paired to either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. That engine and transmission properties, with its 2,035-kilogram curb weight, are given factors affecting its fuel economy.

Upon taking it to a test drive under light to moderate city traffic, the mu-X has recorded around 9.5 kilometers per liter, while 15 kilometers per liter rate on the highway. Those figures are decent enough considering its body weight and its powerful 3.0-liter engine. To sum up, it may not be the most fuel-efficient SUV available in the market today, but it stands in a decent spot in giving you the chance to save up on fuel costs.
