How Fuel-efficient is the 2022 Chevrolet Tracker?

Today's unpredictable and unstoppable oil price hikes all over the globe are leading people to seek transportation alternatives, like riding a bicycle, taking public commutes, and considering electric vehicle choices. But the reality remains that having your car take you anywhere anytime is much more convenient than other modes of transportation, especially if you have to bring a load of stuff.

Amid the rapidly growing popularity of crossover SUVs, Chevrolet offers the 2022 Tracker with decent performance and the promise that it has a better fuel economy than its rivals in the market. However, several factors affect a vehicle's fuel economy, like how the driver drives the car. The dimensions of the vehicle also affect fuel consumption, as well as the combined curb weight and load weight. What engine it carries, its capacity, and under what road conditions you drive are other considerations that can affect fuel economy.

The 2022 Chevrolet Tracker carries a 1.0-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 116 horsepower and 175-Newton meters of torque. This is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual and sport mode.

If we want to know if the Chevrolet Tracker has what it takes to give you what you need most nowadays, which is fuel efficiency, we need to take the 2022 Chevrolet Tracker for a test drive. Since you'll likely take the Tracker most of the time inside the city, its performance under traffic conditions is crucial.

When driven around the city under light to moderate traffic conditions, the Tracker can log an impressive 10 kilometers per liter result. If you compare it to one of the most popular cars in the segment – the Geely Coolray, the Chevy Tracker will give you better fuel economy and will be helpful in the long run.

Does fuel efficiency trump other features when you're choosing a car?
