Peugeot 3008 Short Review: 3 Pros and 3 Cons, Is it totally a good buying?

Among all crossover SUVs available in the Philippines today, the French-made Peugeot 3008 draws distinctness affiliated with its name as it comes with elegantly mesmerizing looks and functionalities. It is priced at more than two million pesos in the market, which is a bit above its closest rivals. But does it have what it takes to deserve the phrase “It’s totally worth it!”?

Pros

Its exterior design is distinct from its brand.

The 3008 is not the first Peugeot model to showcase a distinct exterior design. As a matter of fact, its sibling Peugeot 5008 looks almost the same as the 3008. Its front fascia features Peugeot’s frameless radiator grille matched with fang-like daytime running lights that highlight the front profile of the 3008. At the back, it also comes with claw-like rear lamps, which in combination give this crossover SUV an aggressively elegant exterior finish.

It has a fancy-looking interior design.

The interior design of the 3008 is as pleasing and elegant-looking as its exterior profile, especially the cockpit. The functionality buttons and controls are well-thought and sophisticatedly presented. It will make you feel at all times that you are driving a European-made premium car. The materials used inside the cabin look and feel sturdy and long-lasting. The finishes are unordinary compared to other well-known vehicles of the same class.

It has an above-standard engine property.

The Peugeot 3008 is priced at more than two million pesos in the country and based on how it performs on the road, the satisfaction it gives tops other car models of different brands in the same class. You truly get your money’s worth as you stepped on the pedal and give the 3008 a spin around the city. Plus, since the 3008 is a crossover SUV, it is capable of performing wildly on arduous terrains during an off-road drive. Some of its competitors in the same class are not even close to the output the 3008 produces, which in comparison is an edge to this crossover SUV.

Cons

It only comes in one variant in the Philippine market.

The 2022 Peugeot 3008 is available in one variant in the Philippine market, which leaves the people with no choice but to settle with it or look for other brands. Although it is not the only car model to be offered in a single variant, it still adds a chance for its potential customers to check out their rivals. Plus, there are no variations for the people to choose from depending on their needs and wants in a vehicle.

The functionality buttons could be difficult to get familiar with at first.

The interior presentation of the 3008 is indeed sophisticated and well-thought. However, there’s learning to curve to have yourself get familiarized with the functionalities and how to operate them. More especially that some operations are accessible through the infotainment touchscreen-only as there are no physical buttons to accompany the driver whenever driving.

It is not the cheapest family car available in the local market.

As the major population of the Filipino people is still going after Japanese-made cars, it doesn’t mean that European-made cars are not on their shortlist. With the exterior beauty and the features offered by Peugeot 3008, people were hoping to end up choosing it. However, its pocket-hurting price hinders the curiosity to push further.
