Pros and Cons of MINI 3 Door 2022: Is it Worthy to Buy?

It’s very rare to know a person who don’t like the Mini even for once in their life as this Iconic car was featured in several movie and TV shows like Mr. Bean and The Italian Job. Besides its popularity, the Mini was also loved for decades because of its quirky and unique design which makes it distinct among other cars on the road.

Priced from Php2,550,000, see if the new-generation Mini is worthy behind its price.

Pros

The Mini is an iconic car model.

A lot of people, especially car enthusiasts, were glad when BMW announced that they will unveil the next-generation Mini after a long time. The CEO of one of the most expensive cars of all time – the Rolls Royce revealed that the Mini Cooper is his next car choice to drive after the Rolls Royce. The Mini has a distinct look that makes its presence memorable on the road, movies, and television. No wonder why Mr. Bean hasn’t changed his Mini.

The interior is well-designed.

Not only that the Mini is both cute and pretty on the outside, but its interior is well-designed too. It’s got unique and fun interior which will make your driving experience exciting. Because of the interior styling, it would be unlikely for you to get bored in long drives or heavy traffic jams. The new-generation Mini features a classic minimalist interior at the same time showcasing a quirky and fun vibe.

There is a wide selection of variants.

It is exciting that Mini is taking the path to introduce flexible car types in the modern time. There is the Mini 3-Door, Mini 5-Door, Mini Convertible, Mini Clubman, and the new Mini Countryman crossover. It is amazing that Mini still managed to provide different car types without sacrificing the iconic look of the Mini. Whether you are driving the smallest Mini or its crossover variant, you still bring the iconic head-turner car on the road.

It is one of the most fun cars to drive.

Admit it or not, it is fun to feel that you are driving one of the cutest cars there is. Plus, the Mini is designed to provide comfortable driving experience because of its easy handling. It is also easy maneuver because of its responsiveness and small size. It gives a fun overall feel and vibe to drive, it’s user-friendly, you would feel as if you are friends with your car.

The cabin is surprisingly spacious.

When the Mini was first introduced back in 1959, the main objective of its manufacturer was to provide a small car model that is easy to maneuver around the narrow streets of London. Decades have past and the popularity of the Mini has grown, including its mini size – which has been corelated with its totality as a car model. Impressively, even though that the Mini is indeed mini, its interior space is generous. It may not be like sedans, but its cabin is enough to sit people comfortably.

New-generation Mini comes with driver assistant package option.

Like other car models, the new-generation Mini comes with modern safety and security driving assistance including the driver assistant package. This feature is one of the most wowed characteristics of the new Mini as it would be a huge help for the drivers and ease the worries of its passengers.

Cons

There is no manual variant available in the new generation.

Automatic transmission is indeed helpful and easy. However, some drivers might prefer the traditional manual transmission as it would give them the freedom to take full control over their car, especially for car enthusiasts. Also, some prefer it over the automatic because of its easy to manage repairs.

There’s no Android Auto connectivity feature.

If you love the Mini but you are also an Android smartphone user, you might have a downside about the Mini as it doesn’t support Android Auto connectivity yet. This is not a major issue, but it may get inconvenient in the long run. Nevertheless, it’s silly to turn down a dream car just for the lack of Android Auto connectivity support.

The cabin insulation could be improved.

Yes, the Mini is premium and the materials used to make it are as well premium. However, it has a poor sound insulation. When you’re inside the car, you can easily hear the engine noise and the wind noise from outside. It could be manageable though, but it is not desirable, especially if you are easy to get out of focus in driving.

The Mini requires premium fuel.

It is a major concern if the car you are acquiring is going to be expensive in the long run because of its required fuel needs. Sadly, the Mini’s engine needs premium gasoline fuel to run, and that would sum up a massive daily budget out of your pocket. Nevertheless, it may not be a problem for those people who doesn’t mind spending a lot on fuel, as much as they didn’t mind spending on the Mini.

It’s a really expensive car.

The Mini is considered as a luxury car because of its price in the market, especially in the Philippines as taxes and other payments are on top. As of now, the Mini ranges from Php2,550,000 to Php4,750,000 in the country, depending on the variant.
