The Mazda CX-60 recently launched in the Philippine market. It brings new technology, a powerful 3.3-liter motor, and a mild-hybrid system that helps fuel economy while adding a bit of power to the SUV. SMC Asia Car Distributors Corp, the official importer, and distributor of BMW vehicles in the Philippines, has officially launched the new BMW iX3 electric vehicle (EV). The all-new BMW iX3 has been confirmed for launch in the Philippines on Jan. 23, 2023. In 2022, local BMW distributor SMC Asia Car Distributor Inc. announced that it would debut four electric vehicles in the market for this year. The iX3 crossover is the first one confirmed for the Philippines. It will join the BMW iX crossover in the brand's expanding electric vehicle lineup. Although official specifications have yet to be released, we can look to other markets to see what we might get locally.
Although not as heralded as its other stablemates at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the fact that the BMW iX occupied significant real estate at the German automaker's booth showed that the electric vehicle era for local BMWs has officially begun. Initially pegged at Php 6.29 million (the price is said to be heading a shade under Php 7 million), the Sports ActivityVehicle (BMW-speak for sport-utes) has a 372-kilometer range on a full charge and comes with a wall box charger
