Yamaha puts fresh mark on Monumento LRT-1 station, holds celebratory welcome for Gilas Pilipinas

The Yamaha Monumento LRT-1 station has served as a pivotal part of Yamaha Motor Philippines’ “We Are Mio, Unstoppable” campaign.
For years, it had showcased Yamaha’s signature AT lineup. It was inaugurated on Feb. 21, 2018 with a partnership between the company, Phar Philippines and LRT-1 operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC).

The collaboration was renewed in 2021 and will continue through 2025. To commemorate the partnership between Yamaha and LRMC, a ceremony was held on Oct. 10, 2023 at the Yamaha Monumento Station.
The event also showcased the updated Yamaha "Play Your Tough" Campaign designs around the station, which included a giant Yamaha Mio Gear Installation.

To add to the experience, those in attendance also rode a train wrapped in "Play Your Tough" visuals from the Yamaha Monumento Station to 5th Ave.

Yamaha is the first company to have a long-term investment in the LRT-1 station and is dedicated to driving the standards for the facility, its security and quality of service for the public.

On the same day, Yamaha also held a heroes’ welcome for the Gilas Pilipinas to celebrate the national basketball team’s win in the recently concluded 19th Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.
The Park Inn by Radisson served as the venue for this celebration, where Yamaha warmly welcomed the champions for an intimate program that was live-streamed on the company's official Facebook page.
The guest list included basketball stars CJ Perez, Calvin Oftana and Chris Newsome, along with assistant coach Richard Del Rosario. Gilas Pilipinas presented Yamaha Motor Philippines with special memorabilia—a framed jersey adorned with signatures from the gold medal-winning roster.
