Largely wonderful weather this last week! As the holiday season draws near, it’s been clear skies with cool, refreshing breezes that can help us lay off the air-conditioning (and, consequently, bring our sky-high electric bills down). Despite the chilliness rolling in, it’s been a hot week for one Asian carmaker – and for once, it isn’t from China! Hyundai Philippines launched two new models last week and is mulling over bringing even more. The South Korean company is among your five favorite st

The facelifted version of the 2024 Hyundai Elantra has been revealed in South Korea to show sharper styling and a sleeker body compared to its previous version. The new model takes what the previous iteration started and dials up the sharp looks to 11. It gains a new pair of LED headlights with a more horizontally oriented design and a narrower grille. It also gets a new bumper and lower grille intake that ditches its foglights. These new front changes give the sedan an even sportier demeanor co

An actual 2023 Hyundai Accent, also called the Hyundai Verna, has been spotted online in what appears to be its home country South Korea. The new version of the sedan lives up to its teaser photos, revealing a more angular look for the nameplate. I have always wondered about the Hyundai Accent and why many opted to get one. I mean, what's the catch? They look decent, but I think you would have compromised in quality and finish had you opted for an Accent over a Toyota Vios or Honda City today. I'd even understand why someone chooses an MG, since those look hot and packed with tech. Don't get me wrong though, these cars have shortcomings as well. But with Honda's performance and Toyota's reliability, what makes the Accent still stand out

There is no denying that for many of us, purchasing a car should translate to the fulfillment of its promise. If we spend more, we expect more. The true is same if we are on a budget. But cars like the Hyundai Accent defied common notion. Its affordability spawned a host of owners during its day and yet, the car more than delivered on its promise of providing satisfaction.
