The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross comes with the brand’s latest iteration of the “Dynamic Shield” design language, which was developed to excuse a more “active” and “outdoorsy” image for the seven-seater vehicle.

It still sports black wheel arch moldings, door garnishes, and side sills. These elements give the Xpander Cross a taller stance, while the rear and front bumpers are more macho, with the guard bar motif rails.

Roof rails are now standard for the vehicle along with its T-Shaped LED headlights with daytime running lights and LED fog lights.

The interior of the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has been reimagined with comfort and convenience in mind with its new “Horizontal Axis” dashboard that smoothly integrates all the interior elements at the front.

It comes with soft padded materials with actual stitching in a navy blue shade.

Aside from this, the seven-seater also gets a new 4-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel similar to the design of the Mitsubishi Montero Sport with tilt and telescopic function.

The seven-seater vehicle also sports new leather seats in navy blue soft-touch padding with switching; it comes with a unique material that suppresses any increase in surface temperature with the brand’s heat guard technology.

It also sports a 7-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA-3) system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

With better practicality in mind, Mitsubishi has upgraded the front console to a larger capacity front tray while still having a 12V outlet and USB port.

These start with the new rear suspension system that has adopted the same components as the
Mitsubishi Montero Sport. The enlarged rear shock absorber results in a more comfortable and stable ride, even on rough roads. This, together with advanced safety features such as Active Stability Control (ASC), Hill Start Assist (HAS), and Traction Control (TCL), ensures that every drive is safe and memorable.

Like the regular Xpander, this version also comes with available cruise control.

Under the hood, the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross is still powered by a 1.5 1.5 MIVEC DOHC 16-valve with 104 hp and 141 nm torque mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Yes, it is confirmed, no CVT for the Philippine market.

“With the New Xpander Cross, they (customers) can comfortably and confidently go out and experience the scenic places of the Philippines. Hence our tagline: “Cross the Current.” Where your family can expand horizons in comfort and style. It is as if you are crossing into a new world filled with memorable experiences.” said Mr. Takeshi Hara, MMPC’s President, and CEO.

The Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has four color options:  Sunrise Orange Metallic Metallic (2-Tone), Quartz White Pearl (2-Tone), Graphite Gray Metallic, and Blade Silver.

The Monotone color options will cost you ₱1,328,000, while the two-tone paint scheme will cost you ₱1,338,000. The Quarte White Pearl paint job, however, will cost you ₱1,353,000.
