It's official! Nissan Philippines lowers price of 2023 Nissan LEAF to under P2M 01

Earlier this year, we reported that Nissan Philippines would lower the 2023 Nissan LEAF price to around ₱1.9 million.

We initially suspected the Japanese automaker would initiate the price change at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show. However, it kept the price at ₱2,798,000 until after the event.

On April 22, 2023, Nissan Philippines released a press statement stating that it changed the pricing for the 2023 Nissan LEAF as it now costs ₱1,998,000.

The price change can be attributed to Executive Order 12, which temporarily reduces the import duties on electric vehicles (EV), parts and components until 2028.

Nissan's first EV

First launched in the Philippines in 2021, the LEAF is Nissan's first mass-produced EV, pioneering sustainable mobility for all.

It has been tried and tested in other countries proving to be a reliable EV that offers you more than just transportation.

"Nissan continues to make electrified mobility more accessible to customers across the country as a pioneer in the Philippines' electrification movement," said Nissan Philippines president Juan Manuel Hoyos.

"We welcome this development from the Philippine government as it further accelerates our electrification strategy for the country in line with our Nissan Ambition 2030, which aims to empower mobility and beyond by providing long-term sustainable solutions," he added.

As part of its Ambition 2030 long-term vision, Nissan will work to increase its electrified vehicle product mix in all its markets by 2030. The brand will also utilize its electrified vehicle technologies to address issues beyond transportation and sustainable mobility.

To support the latter, Nissan Philippines launched last year its Blue Switch initiative, which aims to create critical partnerships with multiple organizations to help address social concerns.

These include issues like disaster response, climate change, responsible travel and energy management with the use of EV technologies, such as Vehicle-to-Anything (V2X) bi-directional charging.
