Watching random videos about cars on YouTube, I saw a video uploaded by SooRumBow Lifestyle a starting YouTuber, who also owns a Wigo about how much could it cost you to have your PMS at the dealership for the 5,000 km check-up. I got curious because I know some Wigo owners get free PMS vouchers up to the 20,000 km check-up while others get up to 10,000 free labor cost only. I saw that the said YouTube creator's account is related to the latter, which is good because you can really see how much the price of PMS at the casa is albeit with free labor (for which you can probably add a couple of grand only, or less, much less).

window.googletag = window.googletag || {cmd: []}; googletag.cmd = googletag.cmd || []; googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.defineSlot('/22557728108/ph_article_fourthp_under_pc', [ 728, 90 ], 'div-gpt-ad-1686500526235-0').addService(googletag.pubads()); googletag.pubads().enableSingleRequest(); googletag.pubads().collapseEmptyDivs(); googletag.enableServices(); });

Looking at the screenshot above from SooRumBow Lifestyle's video, his bill's total is about PhP 2739.72 only. This includes a lot of other things like a gas injector cleaner, and the oil they used is synthetic oil. We can argue that since it's still free labor, the price seems low and affordable, but also take into consideration that fact that there are a lot of add-ons which can be asked to be removed from your service supervisor at the dealership. These seemingly minute prices, when totaled, will definitely be a huge percentage of your total bill. Also, I have mixed feelings with using synthetic oil. I mean, it's really up to the car owner but since Toyota will require you to visit the service center even if you have opted for the fully synthetic oil and you're supposedly going back after 10,000 kilometers of running. To me, queueing up at the casa again, missing work again, is too much of a hassle. It's like paying for more even if you'd be spending the same time doing the same things even if you have opted for the regular oil. Time is currency for me, but that's just me. Some people like synthetic oil for a reason or another.

So, there you have it. If you will ask for some optional items to be moved or removed, even if you will be paying for the labor cost, it seems that the price of maintaining a Wigo is still affordable. The time you spend, the care and the small amount you will spend periodically should always be seen as the cost of owning the motor vehicle. In days where commuting is hell and it's raining, you'd always thank yourself for having a well maintained vehicle at your disposal.
