Ford Philippines has solidified its position as one of the country's leading automotive brands thanks to its solid retail performance in 2022.

The Blue Oval brand grew its full-year retail sales by 24% in 2022, with 24,710 units sold, led by its three best-selling vehicles - the Ford Ranger, the Ford Everest, and the Ford Territory.

Ford Ranger - Still a best seller

The Ranger was the top-selling Ford vehicle in 2022, with sales also rising by 24%, with 11,396 units sold. This makes the nameplate the second best-selling pickup truck in the Philippines. 

The next-generation Ford Ranger was launched last year and was dubbed by the brand as the most intelligent, versatile, and capable Ranger ever. It comes with improved capability and comfort, advanced technologies, and intelligent connectivity that deliver new and enhanced experiences for its customers.

Ford Everest - climbing to new heights

Aside from the Ranger, the Ford Everest also had strong sales last year, with full-year sales growing by 99% to 3,534 units sold, making its mark on the highly competitive SUV segment. 

The Ford Everest launched in July of 2022, blending adventure-ready capability with exceptional comfort and customer-focused technology in a rugged and fun-to-drive SUV. 

Ford Territory - staking its claim in the small SUV segment

For the third consecutive year, the Ford Territory remains the brand’s best-selling small SUV, with its full-year sales increasing by 35% to 9,269 units and a strong market share of 51%. Aside from this, the Territory also reached its 15,000 sales milestone in September 2022, further solidifying its popularity within its segment.

On a monthly retail basis, Ford Philippines is doing well as the brand was able to get its best retail sales figures in December of 2022, with 3,260 units sold. This represents a 76% lift from the same period a year ago, with sales driven by the next-generation Ford Ranger at 1,566 units. 

“It was a milestone year for Ford Philippines in 2022 with the launch of our next-generation Ford Ranger and Everest and the continued success of our Ford Territory, including a number of customer engagement initiatives that allowed us to enhance the Ford purchase and ownership experience,” says Mike Breen, managing director of Ford Philippines.

Strengthening its customer engagement

2022 also marked the year when Ford Philippines launched its online reservation platform alongside the local reveal of the Ranger and the Everest. With its new platform reaching out to its customers was made easier thanks to the digital portal that paved the way for a safe and secure vehicle reservation experience.

With this new feature, the Blue Oval brand could get nearly 1,500 vehicle reservations and give over 5,000 vehicle quotes. 

FordPass Connect

Ford Philippines also launched its FordPass application last year. This feature lets vehicles equipped with it connect to the internet and allows users access remote control functionalities such as remote start/stop, lock/unlock, and fuel level check.

Sustaining momentum in 2023

Ford Philippines is also offering retail promotions for its best-selling vehicles for January. This includes a ₱149,000 all-in downpayment and a free 3-year scheduled service plan for the Ford Territory. The next-generation Ford Ranger XLS 4x2 MT is also available at a  ₱105,000 all-in downpayment, while the next-generation Ford Ranger XLS 4x2 AT has a  ₱99,999 all-in downpayment option available.
