The Suzuki Jimny is known to be a capable off-roader despite its small size. It has won many fans worldwide for its “cute” design and versatility as both an off-road machine and a daily vehicle. However, in Japan, someone has done something a little different with the small SUV by making it a capable time attack machine. If the January 2023 global debut of the five-door Suzuki Jimny sport-utility vehicle (SUV) was a pleasant surprise, then prepare for a “shocker” with this new variant. Our friends at sister publication WapCar Malaysia reported that Suzuki is planning to roll out an electric-vehicle (EV) version of the Jimny by 2024.
